Having seen the spread of weeds and grass around the Higher Woolbrook Park area I made contact with East Devon District Council to see what action could be taken to clear the growth and detritus that encourages the weeds to take root and spread making the area look unkempt.
I'm delighted to say that the Streetscene team from the District Council took to the task of clearing the most overgrown area and I have asked County Officers to look into holding a meeting with District Officers both at East Devon and other Districts to see how we can work together to overcome this annual problem which also causes umpteen £'s of damage to our highway network.
