The refurbishment works for Mill Street footbridge are planned to start on the 7thJune 2021.
Subject to Covid-19 and weather.
The bridge will be closed and a pedestrian diversion route will be signed via Alma bridge.
The ford will remain open.
The works consist of:
Rebuilding a stone wall abutment facing
Replacing parapet fixings
Treating rot
Painting the entire footbridge with hardwood treatments/stains.
